What is Project Management?
Moving a project forward while resolving problems as they occur, commonly emergencies.
Moving a project forward while anticipating and preparing to avoid or respond to problems if they occur by answering critical questions about the project during the planning phase.
Individuals or organizations directly involved in the project and those impacted by its execution or outcomes.
A type of project where the short-term plan is well defined, and the long-term plan is defined as detailed as possible but becomes more detailed as information is discovered.
A type of project where important decisions are built into various points along the project. Only stages that “pass” can continue forward in the project.
A type of project where details are added to its plan as they become available.
A series of goals, consisting of tasks, that has a definitive beginning and end. Typically planned to achieve an overarching goal.
Something to be provided, especially as a product of a development process (e.g., thesis introduction section, an abstract for a conference, your part of a group project).
