In this activity, we will ask you to reflect on the different journeys people take as they develop their resilience, and how this may impact their behaviour differently while they are working towards their goals. We are all in different places, and this is OK – whether you’re just starting to work on your growth, or you have been at it for a while, it’s important to stay focused on your own goals and try not to worry about those around you – we are each on our own journey.

Great! Thanks for responding.
Here are the answers to the previous question. Samira is displaying more resilient traits than Rémi at this stage, such as flexible coping, actively facing fears, practicing optimism, and using feedback to improve. Rémi, who is newer to developing resilience, tends to avoid problems, relies on the same coping strategies in any stressful situation, finds life events severely affect their optimism, and has a hard time separating feedback on their work from their worth as a person.
Let’s move on 🙂
Samira and Rémi are classmates who are at different stages of their resilience journey. Samira has been practicing and implementing strategies to build her resilience for the past few months, whereas Rémi has just begun! While both individuals have similar dispositions, they react to stressors in their environment differently.
Based on the traits outlined below, fill in the blanks with either ‘Samira’ (who is further along in her resilience journey) or ‘Rémi’ (who has just started working on his resilience) next to each characteristic.
